Pay in the television and motion picture industry varies for union and non-union actors.  Union performers get paid a higher rate than their non-union counter parts.  Below is a short overview of how the pay is distributed.

Non-Union:
Minimum wage (California is $6.75)

      Prinipal                     $ 636
      Background             $105
      Stand-in                   $ 125
   Commercial 
    Principal                   $636
     Background             $275
     Stand-in                   $275
